Interview:
MDSS: How did hear
about MDSS?
ctrlraven: From a MDSS member at the time invited
me over from a Myspace car group.
MDSS: When and why
did you purchase the vehicle you have?
ctrlraven: December 2005, my previous vehicle was
totaled and hit pretty hard in the rear. So I wanted
something that had some more meat to it than my last car
but it had to have some power also.
MDSS: What kind of
condition was it in?
ctrlraven: Pretty good, the last owner had
purchased it, serviced it and traded it back in all at
the same dealership where I bought it from.
MDSS: Daily,
Weekend, show, or race car?
ctrlraven: It's my everything car.
MDSS: What
modification on your vehicle to you like the most?
ctrlraven: Custom performance tune, really woke
the car up. It's how the car should of came from the
factory.
MDSS: What is the
most expensive part on your car?
ctrlraven: As of right now the $700 PI 3500 stall
torque converter.
MDSS: What was the
last modification you installed on your vehicle?
ctrlraven: I believe it was the Mustang Mach 1
chin spoiler.
MDSS: What has given
you the most headache working on your car? (Part,
experience, shop)
ctrlraven: Parts, not many companies make parts
for my car and the ones that do charge a pretty penny.
MDSS: How much of
the work have you gotten your hands dirty with versus
outsourcing to a shop?
ctrlraven: About 90%, the only mods that a shop
did was the exhaust system and the torque converter.
Everything else I tackled myself or with the help of a
friend.
MDSS: Are there any
future plans for this vehicle?
ctrlraven: Custom fiberglass cowl induction hood,
S55 rear light treatment will be done within the next
month. Down the road I plan on installing a built Cobra
long block and bulletproof transmission.
MDSS: How long have
you been working on this vehicle?
ctrlraven: Since the second day of owning it, 2
yrs and 2 months ago.
MDSS: Are you into
the show or race scene? Or both?
ctrlraven: More race scene but I like to enter it
at shows.
MDSS: Do have any
sponsors?
ctrlraven: None at the moment.
MDSS: Are you a part
of a local car crew?
ctrlraven: C.A.M (Capital Area Marauders)
Shout outs:
I would like to thank all who voted for me and to my
fellow FMC (Ford Motor Company) vehicle owners.
