Interview:
MDSS: How did hear
about MDSS?
Porsche6016: from Jason (JayunsPlanet) at VJC and
over Facebook I think
MDSS: When and why
did you purchase the vehicle you have?
Porsche6016: when i was 15 soo ummm 2001 or 2002
MDSS: What kind of
condition was it in?
Porsche6016: worn out motor and tranny, stock
everything, the owner started to gut it to race it but
lost founds to put into it. picked it up for fairly
cheap too.
MDSS: Daily,
Weekend, show, or race car?
Porsche6016: race car but i trailer it to some
local shows, like the ones i host and stuff. i would
like to tag it and make it a weekend racer/show car but
with all the stone chips and wear and tear from racing,
not quite show quality.
MDSS: What
modification on your vehicle to you like the most?
Porsche6016: definitely the exhaust, its loud but
it sounds good (my94gt can vouch for that)
MDSS: What is the
most expensive part on your car?
Porsche6016: Probably the tranny and engine
re-builds
MDSS: What was the
last modification you installed on your vehicle?
Porsche6016: new clutch and updated harnesses and
blue ones instead of the red that it had before
MDSS: What has given
you the most headache working on your car? (Part,
experience, shop)
Porsche6016: tranny and typical wear and tear
from motor. sometimes it runs great, some times it bogs.
MDSS: How much of
the work have you gotten your hands dirty with versus
outsourcing to a shop?
Porsche6016: tranny rebuild from GT performance
and motor work from Turbo Performance Center. everything
else my dad and i did. i've done the body work, paint,
brakes, suspension, exhaust, belts and lil things here
and there
MDSS: Are there any
future plans for this vehicle?
Porsche6016: tranny swap to the G45 instead if
the current 915 tranny
MDSS: How long have
you been working on this vehicle?
Porsche6016: since i got it, so about 6 years
MDSS: Are you into
the show or race scene? Or both?
Porsche6016: both
MDSS: Do have any
sponsors?
Porsche6016: myself and my dad helps out but i
usually have to pay him back
MDSS: Are you a part
of a local car crew?
Porsche6016: Speed illusionz and looking for
another once i graduate and move on pass that
Shout outs:
Everyone who voted for me and those who allowed it to
run and anyone who had a hand to help out whenever it
was down.
