Interview:

MDSS: How did hear about MDSS?
FNSweetS3: I had heard the site mentioned on another web forum and decided to check it out.

MDSS: Why and when did you purchase the ride you have?
FNSweetS3: When I was in Iraq I was trying to by this car from a guy on Fnsweet.com. After a lot of back and forth between the seller, me and my wife I was advised by my wife that we couldn't’t get financed. I was crushed everything was going so well then it all fell apart. The guy selling the car told me how sorry he was about what happened but since he was really not looking to sell not a big deal. Not another word was spoken about the car…. My wife knew it was a sore subject, a month later I was headed home on a mid-tour break and she told me “maybe we can look at getting a truck or something useful”.

My wife picked me up from the Airport and as we pulled into my neighborhood I could see all my friends coming out to greet me. I backed into the driveway and got out to pull all of my gear out of the trunk. As I was headed for the trunk my wife hit the garage door opener and I got the surprise of my life…. Pumping my fist like I just won the Masters I scurried up the driveway to see “my baby”. I found out that they (my wife, neighbor John and the seller Steve) had planned this a while back… there was no fallen through financing it was here. My wife had thrown me a curveball and surprised me with the biggest gift I have ever received. I only had 8 days home to drive my car but I made the most of my time driving every where I could and making up excuses of things we needed so I could go get them in the car.

MDSS: Daily, Weekend, show, or race car?
FNSweetS3: This car is no garage queen... I drive it every chance I get... but it is not a daily driver.

MDSS: What modification on your vehicle to you like the most?
FNSweetS3: After I returned to Iraq... I bought a Cold Air Intake from tunableinduction.com and was having it custom painted to match the car. During the conversation with the Owner John Demolet my camp was mortared and camp communication went down. When it finally came back up I contacted him and told him what happened.... he painted it for free as a thank you for what going to Iraq.

MDSS: What was the last modification you installed on your ride?
FNSweetS3: New FR 500 Rims Black with Polished Lip and Nitto 555's

MDSS: Are there any future plans for this ride?
FNSweetS3: Just before I started answering your questions I just ordered all the parts I need to Bore / Stroke the engine as well as something new from the boys at Kenne Bell.

MDSS: How long have you been working on this ride?
FNSweetS3: I got it August of 2005 and have been steady dumping money into it... just hope my wife doesn't find out how much!

MDSS: Are you into the show or race scene? Or both?
FNSweetS3: I do 7 big Mustang shows a year and travel a bit to get to them. This year the big one will be Super Stang Fest in Daytona Beach, Florida. I have run it on the track a few times but because I do not / will not put a roll cage in I have been asked to leave a couple times... apparently there is such a thing as going tooooo fast

MDSS: Do have any sponsors?
FNSweetS3: nope, I have never really looked but, I am always open for something new.

MDSS: Are you a part of a local car crew?
FNSweetS3: Fnsweet.com is where all the Roush guys plan their stuff... so there are 10 plus of us in the area that get together. other than that... I have settled in nicely to my new home at MDSS and have met a lot of cool people so far.
